Policy and FAQ – Edgewater Te Anau

Please note that all Edgewater Motel, Te Anau buildings & rooms are no smoking areas. Please dispose of any butts thoughtfully,  rubbish bins are provided in all areas.

Important Note: Whilst care is taken, prices, discounts and rates as noted on this website are subject to change without notice – charged at rate valid at time of stay.

Rates quoted are in New Zealand Dollars,all GST and tax are included.

Purchases or refunds will incur exchange rates, bank and/or card fees that are current at the time the transaction is processed. The company is not liable for exchange rates, bank fees or card fees applied by customers chosen merchant.

Booking Policy

At time of reserving your room with Edgewater Te Anau, the first night’s accommodation will be debited to confirm your accommodation with us. The remaining balance is due upon check in. A reservation is confirmed when one night’s accommodation, agent payment, address for service or credit card details confirm your intention to stay. Full payment is required morning of arrival – rooms and facilities are not to be occupied until you have registered with reception.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before arrival, full refund less admin fee of 10%. Cancellations made within 24 hours of arrival, no refund – 1 night’s accommodation minimum will be charged.

In the case of a “no show” by reception closing one night’s accommodation will be charged to credit card details and keys with directions to your room shall be left on the reception door for you. If you have not arrived by following morning any further nights will be cancelled. No refund as room held for you.

Unforeseen circumstances may be taken into consideration.

Activity Requests

Activity requests are subject to availability – if you would like to reserve a tour or activity in the area Edgewater Te Anau are able to reserve local tours on your behalf – to make a reservation we require full payment from your nominated credit card at the time of booking; we would then issue tickets which will be available for collection upon arrival in Te Anau. We will email you within 24 hrs to confirm your activity request.

Activity Cancellation Policy

Once an activity has been booked – the terms of cancellation are at the discretion of the tour operator. Most have 48 hour cancellation policy.

COVID – 19

ALL TRAVELLERS TO SELF ISOLATE FOR 14 DAYS FROM ARRIVAL IN NEW ZEALAND AFTER 16 MARCH

Regrettably, some aspects of our business have changed. We no longer offer a daily “Room Service”, guests will now need to bring their own provisions including milk and consumables such as tea and coffee. We no longer offer a “bike hire”.

Protect yourself and those we love from infection by hygiene.

Act as if you are sick and avoiding passing this onto others.

Wash and dry your hands and avoid touching your face

WASH YOUR HANDS.

Practice good cough etiquette. Cough and Sneeze into your elbow, do not shake hands.

If you have travelled in the last 14 days and you become sick or are worried about Covid-19 please visit the Ministry of Health website or call 0800 611 116 for advice. If you have Coronavirus symptoms phone 0800 358 5453

IF YOU ARE SICK. DO NOT ENTER ANY MEDICAL CENTRE OR PHARMACY AS THIS RISKS FORCING VALUABLE MEDICAL STAFF TO SELF ISOLATE – REMOVING THESE PROFESSIONALS FROM BEING ABLE TO HELP MANY OTHER PEOPLE.

We respectfully ask you to remain at least 1.5 metre from other people.

If you are sick, please tell us so we can protect our staff

Noise, Parties and Unregistered Guests:

Noise of unacceptable levels will not be tolerated at any time. Parties shall not be permitted, unregistered guests must vacate the premises by 11.00pm – Management reserves the right to require guests to leave the Motel without refund.

“Fly Buys”

Due to operational reasons we are no longer able to offer “Fly Buys” as of 15 September 2018. We apologize for any inconvenience or disapointment caused.

Our Environmental Policies

Switch it off

Lights, heaters, fridges, buildings and more. If it is not required, it is turned off

Reduce

Reducing waste or wasteful practices, conserving resources such as water, electricity and thinking about the way items are packaged.

Re-use

Re-use benefits the environment by reducing the need to harvest new resources for each new product, and as a consequence of this the overall cost of production may be significantly reduced. For example water bottles, plastic bags, cardboard boxes, etc.

Recycle

At the Edgewater Motel Te Anau we recycle glass and plastic, more recycling facilities are available in Te Anau at the Te Anau Transfer Station.

Other Policies

Room Servicing of occupied rooms has been suspended until further notice

Pets:

All pets including birds, cats and dogs are not welcome inside any of the buildings or areas owned by Edgewater Motel, Te Anau, this is to ensure a hygienic healthy environment for all guests who use our facilities.

Management reserves the right to require guests to leave without refund if they bring their pets.
